Technology, commerce and the law are not the only languages we speak. Our translators are highly educated and can translate the most esoteric texts, resulting in translations which lose none of the meaning and very little of the flavor of the original.  This is a difficult field, which has been debated for centuries. Ovid had an opinion as to how best translate poetry and fiction, and Nabokov had a different one.  They were both right. Language is subjective and we know this.
